Pop-Up Dog Photography Session in San Mateo

This was my first photo session since outdoor spaces opened up during shelter-in-place and I was so excited to be out photographing dogs again! The location is Bay Meadows Landing Green in San Mateo, it is well-maintained and landscaped throughout the year, one of my favorite local spots!

The star of the show today is Bolt! I’ve known him since was a teeny tiny puppy when I photographed him at my Nordstrom Pop-Up Studio Session two year ago…this was Bolt at eight weeks. It’s crazy how fast they grow out of the puppy stage 😭

Now that he’s a full-grown boy, his humom and hudad wanted some nice photographs of him, and this time, with the family too!

Bolt is a mini Goldendoodle who is very comfortable in front of the camera. Honestly, he made my job very easy! Not only is he obedient and reliable off-leash, he offered a variety of expressions showcasing his personality! Check out this “Many Face of Bolt” series:

For those of you reading this and thinking, “Oh boy, my dog isn’t trained at all and isn’t model material,” please don’t worry! I can work with dogs of any training level and I promise our sessions are always fun and relaxing!

Before I wrap this up, I don’t want to forget the other dogs who were also present at this Pop-Up Session! We have Maxi and Joey, two Dachshunds who are both shy and untrained (look at how good they look!) and Emma, Bolt’s best friend from the same breeder with the floofiest ears! 😊
