Dog Photography Session at Poplar Beach
I am currently working on a fundraiser book project titled “A Dog’s Guide to San Francisco,” where local dogs take me to their ultimate favorite places around the Bay Area and I’m loving it! It’s so fun meeting new dogs, owners, and discovering new locations right here in my hometown!
I’ve been to Half Moon Bay many times but never visited Poplar Beach. Luckily, Jagger and Sierra, the doodle siblings, took me there and I was blown away by the light, golden sand as well as the colorful sky the day we visited! The beach is also very expansive so it doesn’t feel crowded even when lots of people are there, which is always a plus!
Something I wanted to try was to create a panorama image that would showcase both Jagger and Sierra as well as the landscape (Dogscape) so I took 9 images and stitched them together…what do you guys think? Doesn’t the final result look epic?!
Another thing I wanted to try was #flyinglegsfriday, inspired by the one and only Jagger himself! His posts always brighten my day, especially the Flying Legs Friday ones! Towards the end of our photo session, I decided to give it a try myself and it was a lot of fun! Highly recommend! 😂 The way to do it is to disregard everyone around you (basically, be shameless, ha!), wiggle the body and throw your legs up in the air, and enjoy the moment!
I went home with sand everywhere which is always a good sign!
PS. A big shout out to Duo Duo Project! We’re supporting their efforts in ending the scary world of the dog (and cat) meat trade through this book project 🙏
